fromthe neighborhood but the avocado I buy fromthe shop herewhere did it come fromis it like in some big factoryfarmedland where there's been a lot of thingssprayed on ithas it traveled with ship or an airplanehow long has it been in the shopit's just not the same avocadodefinitely notand I mean likeright now I'm on a cleanseI'm doing this cleanse where I'm no animalproducts and it's just like plant baseddiet again and you know my wife and I werevegan for a while when we werefirst lived in Icelandandyou know you gotta be a certainkind of hard coreto be vegan here and eatwhole foods because you look at ourvegetable aisle and it is likedefinitely second gradevegetablesI mean all of this is being shipped infrom who knows wherehow long has it been on a shipI mean just looking at the broccolilike everyI've never seenlike it was shocking to seeproduce like being soldwhen it's moldy you know what I meanit's like moldy and it's brownand people are buying itand the store is selling itto me that's crazy because youlike you know like you've lived in other countries tooand traveled to so many other countriesproduce is beautifulit's greenit's fresh, it's gorgeousI hardly ever eat fruitswhen I'm in Icelandbut as soon as I'm in SánsabárI'm snacking on fruits all day longbecause it's just not the same fruitsand my intuition is just likethis is proper nutrition hereand againif I mention Sánsabár againbecause to go back to what we were talking about earlierwith like being in a communityit was reallyeye-opening for mewhen I'm thereit's such an interesting placebecause you have all thesereally nice resourced hotelseven like hipster cafes or whateverbut in between there's justold Africaa housemade of stonethe doors are just openit's super basicbut it's in a really good locationexactlyand then because I'm interested in buying a land thereI said okay thishouse is really goodand then because I'm interested in buying a land therethis house hereit has a garden and stuffit's a one minute walk to the beachin the biggest tourist areawhy is therebecause in so manytourist placesyou would never find something like thisbecause it's already been boughtso I started to ask aroundwhy do these people don't sellfor them it's a lot of moneyyou might be getting like5-7 million Icelandicfor just a very simplebasic cabin with a little landfor them it's a lot of moneyand then people start to tell mewellwhere are they going to gothey are part of this villageeverybody they know is from the villagethey help each other outeven if they have kidsthey're not raising the kid on their ownand that has happened to mea few times in Sunsetwhere I've just seen like aone and a half or a two year old kidrunning along on the beachand they're onlywhere are the parentsand nobody's worried becauseeverybody's worried about themeverybody knows the kideverybody's raising the kid with the parentsit's so different from our realitysoI feel like that's why there'sthis loneliness pandemicin the big cities and stuffI feel like we humanswe are made for being in tribesyeah we've been in thiswhat we call progressbut this progress is isolating everybodyfrom each othercapitalismI feel like there's this feelingof the United Statesreally pushing thiscapitalist ideaof having your own of everythingand it's been to the detrimentof families thereand I think it's kind of becomingan epidemic of the western worldis that the individualismcapitalist ideaisseparating familiesand separating peoplefrom each otherisolating them in their own fancyhomes that they can't affordand their own carsand their own office cubicleor whatever it isto the point that they'refeeling disconnected so muchthat they're depressedand they're unhealthyand they're seekingconnection essentiallythis poor villagerthere's that really good sayingabout the fishingyou know what I meanyou're not talking aboutthere'sthe millionairethat talks to the fishermenabout how to expandhis fishing fleetand he justtalks aboutborrowing moneyto get two boatsand then borrowing moneyto get four boatsand keeping going like thisuntil eventuallyhe has so much moneythat he can justgo back to hisone boatthat he hadand fishon a daily basisand he's likebut that's what I do nowyou know what I meanwhy would Ido thatyou knowand I thinkthat's the illusionthat a lot of peoplearebuying intounfortunatelyyeah I meanthere is thisI mean it'skind of like a clichethis sayingI think it comes fromDalai Lamawhich is likeI don't understand peopleyou spend thefirst half of your liferuining your healthto make moneyso that you can spendthe second half of your lifespending the moneyon trying to get your health backbut it's trueyeah it's so trueand it makes no senseit makes no senseyou knowas you get olderlike I don't knowexactly how oldyou arebut you knowyou get olderand you knowI just turned 45I'm 47and I'm feeling likeit's likeyou knowthe older you getthe lessyou're in your bodyto enjoythe pleasuresthat you didwhen youyou knowthat you feltwhen you were youngerso likewhy would I waittill 65to have the free timeabsolutelyto go lay on that beachand jump in the waterI meanare you kidding meabsolutelythis is the timeto do itI canI cansaytwo storiesfrom Raki nowlikeyou're gonna meet himtomorrowone of them islike one of his friendsbecause hehe went through this cancerand that reallyopened his eyesI don't thinkI'm hanging aroundwith anybodythat has comeso close to deathand just reallycontemplated on itsosohe told me a storyof one of his friendsthat is likehe had had thislifelong dreamof going to Machu Picchuto hikeand then he finally did itI mean a lot of people justat least this guy did ita lot of people don't do itbecause they wait too longat least this guydidn't wait that longhe did itbut when he came backhe was likeshould have done itwhen I was youngerbecause my bodywas not really up for ityeahit's likeit's such a good reminderof notdon't waitdon't waitlikethis thing of likeyeah I'm gonna do thingswhen I retireyeahI just feel likewe should flip that all aroundyou shouldyou should be working on somethingyeahthat inspires you enoughthat I'm likeIhopefully I'm never gonna retireyeahI would love to be sitting here7578talking to interesting peopleyeahbut I canI will control my own timeI can workas I wantbut I don't knowwhy I would retireI'm doing somethingthat I loveyeahandit's just an illusiontoto have thiswhen thingyeahI will do it whenyeahand it's a great excusenot to follow your passionsyeahand the second thing isI was sitting withthis comingin a whole circleI was sittingby a firewith Rakionceand all of a suddenhe says likeare we just gonna end up herelikewe started heredrumming by the firesingingtelling storiesyeahand then we builtall these citiesand all these buildingsand stress ourselves to deathto just come back to the fireand be likethis is what it was all aboutyeahexactlyexactlybut I meanisn't that the human conditionI don't knowI think soI mean it's kind of likethe hero's journeyit's likewe alllike come hereto experience sufferingin some way or formyeahyou knowthe highsthe lowsI think likeyou knowwhen we'reyou knowmy belief iswhen we're spiritual beingsand we sign upto be in the human bodywe sign up to forgetand then to rememberand go throughthe whole processof rememberingabsolutelyand that processof rememberingis not easyit includes a lot of sufferingit includes a lot of sufferingit includes a lot of pleasure tooif you're luckyyou can tap into thatabsolutelyand alsothis thing ofI think there's somethinginnate in humanswe want to expandwe want to expandwe want to be limitlessbut when we put ittoo much into materialismthen we are likemore for memore for meand it's the wrong wayto be likeit is beautifulthat we want to expandbut you can havelikeI wannaspread more loveto peopleI wanna knowmore great peopleI wanna expandin thatand that's limitlessthere'syou'reyou're only doing goodto othersby expanding morebutwith thisI don't knowwith thisconditioningon all this materialI have to have morefor meand if all your expansionis looking at yourbank accountand it has to be moreand you don't evenand then you wake upand you're on your deathbedand you're likewhat the hell was I doingyeahwhat's it forwhat's it forhave you ever calculateduhhow much you have to spendper minutewithlike if you had a billion dollarsit's insaneyeahit's likeit's like hundreds of millionsof kronerlike every minuteyeahthat you'd have to spendto spend it in like30 yearsor something like thatyeah I mean I thinkI mean because II had to recondition myselfwhen it comes to moneybecause I'm kind of likelikeyou I wasmy parents are hippiesyeahand it was kind of likethe money peopleare not good peopleyeahwhichI had to reconditionrecondition myselfsamebecause I know a lot of great peoplewho have a lot of moneyyeahand I think money is greatI thinkespecially if you're a good personyou can do good thingsyou can use money to doso good thingsexactlybuthaving said thatI thinkso many thingsthat are wrongin the worldcome from greedyeahand come from fearbecauseif you always need morefor yourselfand it doesn't matteryou're up to a hundred millionand then you need two hundredand then you need a billionand then you need five billionand thenand I just seeumsuper rich peoplethere was a guyI talked to the other dayand he was just likethere are so few peoplewho managed to climbto the top of the mountainin thiscapitalistic gameexactlymeaningbecoming a billionaireyeahbut this guy saidbut I knowquite a fewguys like mewho have done thatout of the oneswho get to the top of the mountainthere are evenless percentagewho managed to go downand become sane againyeahthe money starts to own youyeahcompletelyyeahandand that's why I thinkit's just alwayslike an internal stateit's likeif you're not doingsomething nowyou always have thiswhenand it's likethe millionairehas the same fearas an ordinary personand he's just likeyeah when I have fivewhen I have tenwhen I have twentybut the whenis just gonna continueif you neverwork on yourselfinternallyyeahto be likeI have enoughyeahyeah that enough feelingis likeit's so elusivefor so many peopleyou knowwhat is enoughwhat is enoughis enoughlikea monthyou knowto pay your expensesis six monthsis a yearI genuinely feel likeand I feel this on myselflikeperson with a fullyregulated nervous systemdoesn't need anythingyeahbecause theythe nervous systemis in enoughabundance to knowI will be provided foryeah exactlyI'm a part of natureI was not meant to die herenothere is plenty for everybodyyeahI will be provided forand that comes back tothe connectionrightabsolutelylike if you're connectedto what islike if you're connectedto natureand you're connectedto the universeyou're connectedto know that you'rea part of everythingand if you're a partof everythingand you're a part of lifelike you're supportedby the universethe universe supports youthe universe wants youto thrivebecause you're a living beingand life is supposedto thriveyou knowuntil it diesand then that's justpart of the processof deathand lifebut while you're aliveyou areare being supported to thriveand feeling that connectionthat's the abundancethat knowingness that you just talked aboutfeeling like you're going to be provided forno matter whatthat's the enoughÁ Níngs Sebastianand it was like one gram ofmushroom or somethingand just not a lotI have taken way higher dosesbut there was something about itwe managed to somehow, I don't knowbecause she's from there, we managed to just connectto the spiritsand I remember the days after itI was just walking on the beatsand I just felt like I was in heavenfor days after itand I was just like, how on earthcan I be so clockedwhen it comes to moneyhow on earth can I really feel likethings are not okit just didn't make sense to meand that's when you tap intoeven if it's just a short timeif you tap into that, you really knowif I manage to be in that stateeverything is okexactlyeverything will be okso what you should be striving foris that stateyou should be striving for that internal stateinstead of striving forif I have more then I will, no no noI've had a lot in my bank accountand felt like I don't want to liveand I've had a really little in my bank accountand felt abundantand greatit's funny becausemy wife and I travel a lotand it's not like we're high earnerswe don't earn a ton of moneybut so peoplehow do you travel so muchhow are you able to do itthinking that it's completelyunfeasible for thembecause it's likethey make more money than usbut that's such an illusionand people love to use that excusethat they just don't have enoughto do the things that they want to doif you just want to do the things you want to dodo itthat's kind of what we doif we want to go somewhereand we spend a few months therewe'll buy a ticketand we'll figure it out100%and I feel like people are often projectingtheir week long Tenerife tripI'm guessing that you and Tinaare doing it similarly to me and Estheryou have a few hacksyou know how toif you're staying in a place for a monthyou ask aroundand you can get a good deal on accommodationyour transport is going to be cheaperyou just rent a scooter somewhereand they give it to you for a good priceyou're not shopping every daynoso a week in Tenerifefor most Icelandic peopleis more expensive than a month in Santa for meexactlyand most places we go are like thatif we go to Thailand or Sri Lankaor whereversome Latin American countryeverything is a quarter of the price hereand alsolike we were talking about beforebecause you're living so much closer to the earthyou need lessI need less clothesI need less baggageI need less food evenI'm not even as hungrylike in the winter hereI feel like I'm always like eating a lotand I want really rich foodwhich is like meatand like more of these expensive foodsbut when you're in a warmer climateyou knowand you just need to wear flip-flopslike a smoothie here and theresome fruita papaya in the morningand I'm good to goyou know what I meanexactlywhen I elaborate on what you said earlierabout clothesyou said less clothesless sheltersI've never heard anybody put it that waybut it makes senseyeahand I think that's a good thingand I think that's a good thingwould you considerbecause I feel a lot aboutlikewhen I go to these warmer placesI thinkoklikewhen it comes tosexualitynudityagain likethe conditionings here in Icelandbecause of the weather conditionswe are so used to sheltering us in clothesbecause when you go to places likeI don't knowlike a beach in Colombia or somethingit's likenudity isn't an issueyeahbut herewe've made it into somethingso we have an exaggerated interest in sexin a very skewed way I feel likeyeahyeahit's definitely very skewedit's interesting becauseyou knowourour showerswere always naked right herelike the menand the menand the women with the womenI had this experiencewhere I was likewe're at a hot springsoutside ofof townoutside of Akademiandwe were nakedin the changingroomand it was a co-edyou knowwomen and menand everybody was likejust shockedlike oh my godlike everybody's nakedyou knowit wasit wasit was thiscrazy thing for themand I was likewait a second you guyslike we're justnaked togetheryou knowat the pooland Ibecause it was out of contextit was just like this crazy thingyeahyeahbutyou knowspeaking of that hereit's likewhen I startedstarted firstdating my wifeTinaI got to learn aboutthe dating culturein Icelandyou knowand II was justthrown backathow sad it soundedyou knowlike people gettingdrunk at a barandand just hooking upandand thenif theyenjoyed that hookupthey mightget drunk at the barand hook up with them againand if that happenslike maybe it becomesa relationshipyou knowand I'm likethat to mecoming from the west coastin the statesthat's insaneyou knowbecause we havesuch a dating cultureit's like so much aboutlikegoing on that walk togethergoing to the restaurant togetherlike seeing each otherin the daylightand talkingyou know what I meanso there's likeyou knowand then of courseyou hearlike that there's a lot oflike drunkadulteryand cheatingand all of that herebecause it'sthat kind ofI think there is likean ancestral shamearoundsexualityin this countryyeahdefinitelybut what is it withwhen you mentionedthe changing roomsin the poolI feel likeat least in some partsof the USthey're even worsethan in IcelandbecauseI rememberI've oncebeen a tour guidein my lifeand I had two Americansand theywhen they was likeam I gonna change my clothesin front of other guysno chanceso they went intothe bathroombecauseto be nakedaround another guywasn't an optionand even justnot having the swimsuiton in the showerlike I can't do itand I was likeok that's an interestingbut I mean that's the differencein the United StatesI mean there's so manydifferent partsof the United Statesso likeif you're somebodyfrom the west coastyou're usually comfortablewith being nudeyou're comfortablewith sexualityyou're comfortabletalking aboutlike open thingsit's a very open societyon that partof the United Stateson the middleand the east coastthere's atotaltotally different storyyou knowpeople are justnot used to thatyou knowit's definitelymore closed offyou knowthe religious shaminghas a lot to play into ityou knowit's very religiousand the bible beltand things like thatsoyeahthat's a reasonthat that would happenwhen some of thesetourists come overthey're freaking outyeahsuper interestingit's so interestingand also likewhen youtalked aboutbeing homelessin HawaiiyeahI've often thoughtlikesome of the mostof coursethere are peoplein this worldwho are goingthrough thingsthat are justbeyond miserableand god bless thembutbuta human conditionwhere you're poorin a reallycold placethat is badthat is badI wouldlikewhen I wasspending two monthsin Los Angelesand I sawall these homeless guysthey kind ofhad a communitywithin themyeahthere is a lotof sun thereand I was just likeokaybeing homelesshereversus beinga poor personin SiberiaexactlyI'd rather bethe homeless personhereall day longyesso that's whylike for examplewhen somebodyis homelessin Icelandor somethingthat's badthat's really roughthat's really roughyeahyeahI would notwish that for anyoneyou knowand luckilylikewe have a goodyou knowsocial netlike netfor people herecompared to theUnited StateslikeUnited Statesis horriblewhen it comesto homelessyou knowespeciallyafter the pandemicyeahI haven't beento the USafter COVIDyeahit's changedso muchit's changedso muchthere's likehuge homelesscamps nowlike citiesthat are justlike in betweentownsandI heardsomewherethat itrelates toother areasin your lifeof courseandhow canyou notit's beenthousands ofyearsof religiousshamingaroundsexualityespecially women, women in particularyou know have been shamed constantlyaround their sexualityI just listened to a podcastthe other daythere's a guy called Aaron ApkiI really love him and he's a son of a priestand he had to like go away from it allto come back to it and he's researched itso deeply and he's just likeyeah Jesus had I don't remembertwo or three brothers for surethat's just a factbut why can we not know about itbecause there was sex involvedbut he's just like no look at theactual books and datahe had and even after he diedhis older brother kept the religion goinguntil he diedand this is just a factbut we cannot know about itI mean it's really fascinatingbecause then you start to questionas mammals, as human mammalswe're more thanwe're such a strange speciesbut if you were to bring us back towhat's our defaultare we monogamousas humansis that our default if we're living in tribesbecause if we take it back tothere's this bookSex at Dawnthat I readand it kind of opened my mind a little bitabout how humans arebecause you wonder why people cheat on each otherwhy there's so muchdysfunction in relationshipsand why we're seekingthe type of intimacy that we doand this book isfascinating because it talksabout howmonogamy didn't existbeforeagricultureit came with agriculturebecause as we started to settlein one place from being hunters and gatherersthat we traveled with the seasonsto here or there to get the foodthat we needed in a small tribeof 150 people or lesswe started to settlein one spot to take care ofone piece of land and when we did thatwe needed to ownthat territoryand to own that territorywe had a familylike a small nucleusso one husband, one wifeand the kidsand then thatbecame this whole thingbut to keepthat husband from sleeping with the otherwife next doorand then there beinga conflictand then one of them burning the otherfarm downthere needed to be some religious orderbecause the kingdom neededto tax these peopleto get the taxes that they neededthis is all in the bookI think if you want toI think it's just this thingabout order versus chaosI feel like a lot of the rulesthe good thingabout them is like okwe need some sort of ordersbut when the order is takentoo far you're just a hypnotizedslave under like a wallof conditioningsand when peoplewhen peoplethink ofopening their mindespecially around sexualitythey thinkmost oftenthey're conditioned to think chaosto think destructionlike it'll bring down the familyit'll cause some horrible dramait'll be this or thatand that's what needs to belight needs to be brought toand that's why I'm so proud of my wifefor the work that she's doingbecause it's challengingand it's likeit's hitting at likesuch a shadow of societythat hasn't been talked aboutpeople don't talk about sexthey don't talk about sexthey'll tell you what kind of recipe isoh yeah I cooked this amazingblah blah blahand here's the recipebut they don't say likehey I had this amazing sex with my wifeand this is what led to ityou know what I meanthis is what opened her upto having such abeautiful sweet connectionlike that doesn't existthose conversations aren't being hadand with mena gotta feel like a lot of time I was just likeit's like a body count thing you knowlike how many people he's left withyou know like kind of thingso yeah I meanit's about having that conversationyou know bringing it to the tableWhat about yourself?what wayLike if somebody wants toget some service from youyeah I mean I doyou know , CantoneseYou've done a lot of things.I do coaching, I do body work, yeah, I do a lot of different things.I mean, it's hard to kind of put me under, like, I just ended a job recently being an engineer again, just trying that hat on once more to see if I wanted to be in it.Yeah, so it's like, mostly, you know, doing the coaching and the body work at the moment. But right now, I'm in this transition period where I'm really just enjoying the transition againand kind of honing in on what my message is, what my offering is,and how I want to show up, you know, because I do want to be of better service, you know, to the world.Like, this is a deep desire, I think, for a lot of us, but, you know, for me, it burns, you know,to burn.To be of service in a really, really good way.And I mean, just here, having this conversation with you, like, we brought up some really good subjectsand I feel like, you know, like what you do here, these conversations that you're having,it's like, it's of service, you know, bringing people's awareness to different places is a huge servicebecause if we don't know, we don't know, you know.Yeah, exactly. And so part of it is just being open.Yeah, there's nothing. And there's nothing better than getting a message from somebody who tells you that you've changed their life.Yeah, exactly. In a good way.Exactly.There's nothing that beats that, I feel like.Yeah, exactly. It's so rewarding. So rewarding. So rewarding.I mean, I did solar projects on huge commercial buildings, you know, and at the time, renewable energy was like, oh my God, you're solarizing this nasty big buildingthat would otherwise run off of some horrible fossil fuel. And you create, you know, all sorts of, you know, pollutants. And it felt good, but like, there was nobody saying, thank you so much, the air is so much cleaner. You know, there's nobody like, there's no direct connection to anybody.Yeah, and I feel like, I mean, there are people who are of great service in that way.Yeah.That are underappreciated.Yeah, but I personally, talking about remembering, I need more feedback.Yeah.So I remember, ah, yeah, this is why I'm doing what I'm doing.Yeah.If I don't get that, I can so easily start to think, ah, this is just complete bullshit.Exactly.Like, why am I doing this?Exactly.I might as well quit.I have to, I have to be remembered very regularly.Yeah.Yeah.It's important. That direct feedback, too, is like, how we can navigate better to be a better service, too.Like, somebody telling you, like, wow, you really changed my perspective, you know, and now,now I use blue blockers at night, and I'm like, I'm sleeping so much better, you know what I mean?Yeah. And that's changed everything.Mm-hmm.It's simple stuff.I mean, sometimes it can be so simple, you know? And I feel like there's more and more people like yourself who are like, like, I've mentionedNúmi a few times, even Anna, who have dived deep into a lot of areas of health.Yeah.And, and you just, you have somebody who needs some help.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.It's been boxed so much.Either you're a psychologist.Yeah.Or you are a massage therapist.Yeah.If you're a psychologist, it's a 50-minute session where you sit in front of somebodyand you talk.Yeah.Or there is this, and then you're doing massage for 60 minutes.Yeah.I feel like we are heading into an era where it's just like, what does this person need?Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.Yeah.I have been gathering information and knowledge and skills that I can give them.Exactly.And the only thing I'm thinking is how can she or he get the most out of the time with me?Yeah. And that's how my coaching sessions roll.Because I have so much bodywork experience.I've been doing it for a really long time.I have a ton of yoga experience.Exactly.So I'm like, I've been very somatic in a way.And then on top of that, like, you know, my coaching sessions are just, they're a combinationof it all.Yeah.Yeah.Because that's what the body, that's what the human is asking for.Yeah.Yeah.So, yeah, we, approaching things in a holistic way is offering a holistic solution, youknow. It's really important.Beautiful.Yeah.So great to have you on.So good to be here.So good to talk to you.Let's do it again.Yeah.Okay.Beautiful.Thank you.Thank you.
